EISA Award for Rainbow Audio

Rainbow_AudioThe Germanium GL-C6.2 loudspeaker set from rainbow wins the EISA Award 2014-2015 in the category European in-car speaker system

One of the sought after EISA Awards, one of the most distinguished awards of the consumer electronics industry went to the engineers of rainbow, a brand belonging to the company AIV located in Heilbronn, Germany.

Paul Jelko, the head developer of the Germanium GL-C6.2 and his team are honored with a recognition which is usually reserved for the big brand names in the industry.

“We are very happy that our work receives such recognition by the trade press” Paul Jelko of rainbow explains. We are especially proud to present a loudspeaker system, which offers an excellent price/performance ratio in addition to a superior, top of the range sound.”
Fusing experience and latest technology, rainbow engineers achieved a remarkable result with the GL-C6.2, rainbow’s top-end speakers in the Germanium line. They use a compound diaphragm that consists of layered paper and aluminium to achieve the best of both worlds. The speakers employ a very powerful motor structure with a multi-port cooling system, while two aluminium shortening rings inside the motor reduce distortion. The tweeter features a well-crafted soft dome with a special coating and an acoustic chamber, and the speakers come with dedicated crossover, with impedance correction for the woofer and equalisation for the tweeter.
