EMMA Norway Summer Party

no3 no4 no2 no5no1August 3rd EMMA Norway and dBDrag had a competition in an old industrial hall called Støperiet Kulturhus in Tønsberg, Norway. Both organizations worked well together. EMMA judges Tony Bardalen and Thomas Selvåg did a great job judging cars while Hans-Emil Huse got cars in the lanes for dB measuring. 16 cars participated, some in both competitions. It was good to be inside. Outside there were thunder (did not measure the dB there) and the rain poured down. Several places in the south of Norway roads had to be closed. Inside, hot and dry! Highest dB measured, Jonny Ulvund who drove 600 kilometres and measured 165,7 dB! He even got a flat tyre on his trailer just at the entrance to the hall. Our local newspaper, Tønsbergs Blad (www.tb.no – kjør), took photos, videos and interviews. On Sunday they had it on the net. On Monday it was the main feature in the cultural section. A perfect ending of the day at Tony’s place with barbecue, good drinks and wonderful people.
