EMMA was invited again to perform on Europe’s biggest meeting for smart drivers with the “Smart Times Contest”.
Glorious weather with partly above 35 degrees and several thousand smart enthusiasts on the vast grounds of the Hamburg Grossmarkt made this mega event so fantastic.
Offside known by the EMMA rules, the participating vehicles were assessed in the following categories:
- Tuning & Performance
- Design & Aesthetics
- In-Car Media & SPL
- Craziest smart
- Beat the JBL-Smart
Thanks to the strong, comprehensive 8 person juror team, the ratings went quickly and smoothly and it also turned out again that smart drivers inherently belong to the more relaxed type of competitors.
A fantastic program with live music and lots of other things made this event an experience for participants, judges and the many visitors from all over the world.
Highlight of the event was the “Beat the JBL Smart” contest where 5 selected vehicles drove directly to the main stage to compete moderately in SPL with the professional vehicle. The audience paid tribute to the brave warriors with thunderous applause the necessary respect and was visibly impressed by the presentation, which sound pressure some of these small vehicles could give of himself.
This fantastic event was an enjoyment to all participants and visitors and will remain a long time in their memory. The EMMA team is looking forward to a repeat this great event in the year 2017.
