Round 2 was at Modified Nationals, one of the UK’s biggest modified car festivals of the year, with Car audio playing a dominant role, the indoor show arena with Display stands from Car Audio Security , Vibe, Ground Zero , Alphard , JL Audio , Kicker UK ,Four Masters and Alpine who also took the award for best trade stand of the event. Outside Car Audio Motions , Hertz , DB Drag , Propper Droppers , Vibe Audio famous Bass Tunnel main stage not forgetting EMMA UK which attracted 102 entries, smashing the newly set record at round 1!
With competitors joining us from Scotland, Ireland & Holland, Round 2 had an even greater than normal International presence as VIBE Audio brought over YouTube Star EXO for the weekend show from the US of A!!
The rest of the TEAM UK Judge team were working just as hard with a helping hand from Head Multimedia Judge from Germany Lars Neuper and International Head Judge & top Install Judge from Holland Ronald De Wit. The weekend was an amazing achievement for such a small Judge team, it just goes to show the level of dedication from every member. A massive shout goes out to our own Kevin “the machine” Hall who single handily processed every last one of the scoresheets in the EMMA back office. Cheers Kev & Thank you TEAM UK Judge team.
Saturday night also saw a jointly held BBQ by EMMA UK and Vibe Audio which was well received by competitors and other friends at the show after a long hot day. This is where VIBE Audio with their Monster Black Death T5 and Privateer Greg Fagan and his Alphard Deaf Bonce VW Touran went head to head in Expert ESPL with none other than YouTube star EXO being the conductor to get them started.
Everyone at EMMA UK are simply thrilled at the growing levels of participation, the mini battles and the comradery between competitors, pushing themselves and systems to the limit whilst keeping the fun and relaxed atmosphere, with everything from Smart cars to Aston Martins, Single 6” subs to dual 21” subs, OEM to extreme builds we had it all.
ESPL Wall, Emma Racing and ESQL Custom were the three most popular classes having 10, 9, 12 competitors in each class respectively making for fierce competition!!
John Robinson competing in ESQL Custom category achieved a massive score of 153 for the sound quality section!!
Nick Allen from TEAM Bloomz did very well to score 96 on install at round 1 to then score full install at round 2. Well done Nick getting those install points back!
Multimedia is a fairly new format to the UK roster gaining much momentum involving 8 competitors with Peter Steinbacher remaining undefeated this season so far, Well done Peter for setting the standard!
Over on Sound Quality, Skilled 4000 is a one to watch…the competition is tough with Carl Townshend having scored 233 on sound at round 1 to come back swinging with 275 at round two and taking first place from Pritesh Patel Team Platinum In Car who has dominated the category in the UK for the past few seasons. Whilst not forgetting long time competitor Chris Tricker from TEAM Highdown who has improved enormously from 203 at round 1 to a whopping 256 at round 2!!! The new additions to his system are definitely paying off!
The Sunday afternoon presentation had over 50 awards handed out in the sunshine by Kicker UK’s own Jon Griggs with EXO lending a hand, it was a perfect way to end what was nothing short of an amazing event.
