EMMA TP.HCM 2024 officially kicks off with 58 competing cars and 138 competition segments. The panel of judges includes 9 international EMMA judges from Indonesia and Vietnam, who have identified the champions in 26 EMMA categories.
The event is held indoors at the Saigon Exhibition and Convention Center (SECC) in District 7, Ho Chi Minh City, from June 20-22, 2024, alongside the Automechanika 2024 exhibition. Hosting the event indoors helps avoid weather disadvantages but introduces new energy management requirements, as cars are not allowed to start their engines during the competition. This requires competition cars to be professionally upgraded to meet these new conditions.
EMMA Vietnam encourages contestants to aim for segments with moderate investment costs by splitting the Best of Sound category into segments with limited equipment value. This not only increases competitiveness but also makes it easier for newcomers to the car audio field in Vietnam to participate.
Notably, EMMA Vietnam has introduced the ESQL Motorbike category, allowing contestants to showcase their skills and creativity in audio tuning on motorcycles and large-displacement bikes. This is a new step forward, promising to become an exciting next playground following the success of previous SQ Android categories.
Additionally, the Friendly Cup 2024, held between EMMA Vietnam and EMMA Taiwan, is an opportunity for EMMA Vietnam contestants to gain experience and prepare for major events at the end of the year, especially the EMMA Asia Finals 2024.
