Pioneer Europe releases four advanced multi-format CD tuners to complete its feature-rich 2013 line-up. Designed to align with today’s trend of bringing the connected lifestyle into the vehicle, the new models offer a set of convenience and entertainment features such as Pioneer’s exclusive MIXTRAX EZ virtual DJ technology, CD playback, USB connectivity, SD-card slot, broad smartphone support, and more. Models include the DEH-X9500BT and DEH-X8500BT featuring Parrot Bluetooth connectivity, the DEH-X8500DAB with built-in DAB tuner and the DEH-X7500SD, all offering enhanced sound quality options.

MIXTRAX EZ
Pioneer’s revolutionary MIXTRAX EZ virtual DJ technology is incorporated into each model, transforming a music library into a non-stop playlist. The MIXTRAX virtual DJ inserts transitions and effects to music played from an iPhone, iPod, SD-card or USB storage device. For an additional club-like effect, the illumination and display of the CD receivers can be set to pulsate and change colour with the tempo and intensity of the music.
SMARTPHONE CONNECTIVITY
Pioneer’s line-up integrates compatibility with many of today’s most popular smartphones to match consumer demand for continuous connectivity. With a USB port located at the rear of every receiver, connecting a music-filled flash drive, external hard drive and/or smartphones is easy1. iPhone and iPod users2 can access and play music from their iTunes music libraries using the receiver’s front panel controls while simultaneously charging the device’s battery with one amp of charging3. Music from most Android4 smartphones can be played back via USB mass storage as well. When a compatible smartphone is connected via the USB port, users can enjoy App Control for selected apps through Pioneer’s proprietary technology, which enables them to listen to their favourite music and streaming audio apps from the connected device. The DEH-X9500BT offers dual USB ports for connection of two compatible USB devices or media players, offering even greater media source options.
BLUETOOTH
The DEH-X9500BT and DEH-X8500BT feature Parrot Bluetooth connectivity, allowing for hands-free calling as well as music streaming from compatible Bluetooth enabled devices5. Both CD tuners also support voice control via Bluetooth when paired with a compatible iPhone (3GS or later). The user can call a contact or select a playlist, song, artist, or album directly from the receiver using the iPhone’s native voice control feature.
DAB RADIO
The DEH-X8500DAB model incorporates both a Parrot Bluetooth chipset as well as a DAB radio tuner, embracing the growing trend of digital audio broadcasts that provide high-quality digital sound through improved signal reception and easy programme selection6. In addition to crystal clear reception, the DAB tuner lets the user time-shift radio by pausing radio playback and resuming listening later.
ENHANCED FUNCTIONALITY
Pioneer’s new CD receiver models are designed with a new, simplified menu structure and a full dot 3 line VA LCD display with wide viewing angle for more intuitive operation and improved readability. Ultra-personalisation of the CD receivers is possible using the dual zone illumination feature, offering up to 210.000 colour preferences that allow the user to match the unit to his interior dashboard, favourite colour or mood. The illumination can be customised in two separate zones for countless colour combinations.
POWERFUL SOUND REPRODUCTION
Pioneer has fitted its new car CD tuners with the celebrated MOSFET 50W x 4 amplifier set-up, a 5 Band Graphic Equaliser and Advanced Sound Retriever (ASR) technology which restores any musical detail lost in the creation of compressed music files, even in case of wireless transmission through Bluetooth audio. For better sound quality and system flexibility, all new models feature three sets of high-volt (4V) RCA pre-outs for connection to aftermarket or OEM external amplifiers.
Availability
