NEW PIONEER DIGITAL CAR AMPLIFIERS: MORE POWER, MORE FEATURES

Pioneer gm-d8604Pioneer Europe introduces three new Class-D car amplifiers, designed to combine high power output and high efficiency while simultaneously producing the high fidelity audio Pioneer is known for. Faithful audio reproduction is complemented by the striking, robust design of the ultra-compact chassis. Features in the line-up include Class-D circuitry, 1-Ohm stability, a multi-block terminal to wire multiple subwoofers, variable low-pass and high-pass filters, and a bass boost remote control for the mono-channel amps, providing added convenience and quick adjustability.

“With our new GM-D Series digital amplifiers, consumers no longer need to sacrifice space to increase the sound performance of their system. Class-D circuitry makes them very efficient and space-saving, without compromising on power or sound quality. Thanks to their compact size they can be easily installed under the seat of a sedan, behind the seat of a truck, in the small trunk of a sports car, or a limitless number of other mounting possibilities,” said Tom Van Biervliet, Manager Product Planning Car Audio, Pioneer Europe. “Enriched with features that enhance the power and flexibility of these amps, they are bound to make an impact.”

The four-channel GM-D8604 and the mono-channel GM-D9601 and GM-D8601 use Class-D circuitry for a significant increase in efficiency. Team Pioneer has collected multiple national and European champion titles with Class-D amps in Europe’s most renowned sound-off competitions, which proves that digital amps sound just as good as analogue ones. The amps are 1 Ohm capable for maximum compatibility and power output, and feature both variable low-pass and high-pass filters to finely tune connected full range speakers or subwoofers. An included bass boost remote on the GM-D9601 and GM-D8601 allows the user to increase bass output from the front seat, ideal for quickly adjusting the amplifiers to multiple types of music.

The circuit is fitted with a Protection Control System which senses its internal temperature and automatically adjusts the input level accordingly, resulting in greater reliability. Thanks to the improved efficiency, the physical size of Pioneer’s new amplifiers was again reduced, making them even more compact and easier to install. Block style terminals allow power and speaker cables to be securely connected to the amplifier.

Refined inside as well as outside, Pioneer’s GM-D Series amplifiers sport large die cast aluminium heat sinks with a fresh prism pattern finish, providing maximum heat dissipation. Completing their look are the Pioneer logo, red Champion Series slogan and silver end caps, matching Pioneer’s latest subwoofer range.

Pioneer’s GM-D Series amplifiers are currently available in 3 models, each of which can be used independently or complementary to each other:

  • GM-D8604: 4-channel, RMS power output ranging from 100 to 150 Watts x 4
  • GM-D9601: mono-channel, RMS power output ranging from 500 to 1200 Watts
  • GM-D8601: mono-channel, RMS power output ranging from 300 to 800 Watts
