What is the difference between the ZP12D2 & ZP12D4

To get the most out of a 1-ohm stable amplifier, it’s important to understand how subwoofers with different voice coil configurations work when wired together.

A single DVC (dual voice coil) 2-ohm subwoofer (D2) can be wired at either 1 ohm or 4 ohms, depending on how you connect the coils.

However, if you have two D2 subwoofers, you won’t be able to wire them to achieve a 1-ohm load; your options would be wiring them to 0.5 ohms or 2 ohms, neither of which would be ideal for a 1-ohm stable amplifier.

On the other hand, if you have two DVC 4-ohm (D4) subwoofers, you can wire them together to achieve a 1-ohm load, which would allow you to maximize the performance of a 1-ohm stable amp.
Understanding these wiring options helps you match your subwoofers and amp to ensure optimal performance.
