UK Car Audio Competition Scene Setting A New Record …

Round 1, the 2017 season opener was hosted by Car Audio & Security, the UK’s biggest car audio superstore last weekend.

With a grand total of 90 entries across the two day event, it smashed the previous record set last year of 65 making it the biggest in EMMA UK History!!

This year introduced our new online and live “Active Competition Status” system. This allowed the competitor to see the judging order for the cars as well as being able to see which cars have already been judged in their class.

Another new first for 2017 is EMMA UK having an EMMA Sound Quality Loud (ESQL) League Championship for those who enjoy listening to good sound quality outside their cars. This was a fun addition to the classes normally found at EMMA UK events enjoyed by the public and all 13 competitors that took part in the Stock and Custom classes.

ESPL Master Walled class had the most competitor attention with no less than 13 competitors taking part with all classes averaging around 5 competitors per class.

VIBE Audio with their Monster T5 took loudest SPL Reading of the day 159.3db with Alphards Greg Fagan not far behind at 158.5bd. We predict the First Official EMMA UK 160db is to come when these guys battle it out once more at Round 2 Modified Nationals.

Over on the Sound Quality side of things our own back office legend Kevin Hall walked away with a 1st place in Master Unlimited with the highest SQ score of the whole competition with 273 points on sound.

The team at EMMA UK are thrilled at the levels of participation so far and look forward to even bigger and better events throughout this year’s season.

A Huge well done to all competitors that took place, and to all of our Partners.

Our next event is Modified Nationals in Peterborough where your competition entry fee includes a weekend ticket to the show making it great value for money. Registration is now open for round 2 here: http://www.emma-uk.com/product/round-2-emma-2017-championship-modified-nationals/
